How to drive traffic and command authority, even if nobody knows who you are.
Are you an online business owner whose constant struggle for consistent traffic is killing your ability to make money and become an authority in your market?
What if I said you could kill two birds with one stone by using the information you’re about to discover. Well, in today’s post I’ll show you how to achieve both results by leveraging content you’ve already created or using easy to access private label rights based material.
First, a bit of back-story though. When I first started marketing online it was for an MLM company called “Academy Team Solutions”, or ATS. My (then) partner and I teamed up to create a feeder program into this company which went on to bring around 150 new subscribers into our downline within a short few months.
But, for this to work nearly as effective for you, you have to be willing to put in the work to make it happen. While the concept itself will become easier to perform after the bulk of it is in place, it still requires work and it’s not going to be your get rich quick, drive a million hits a day type system. Those don’t exist and if you’re looking for them get off this page now.
Step One: Inventory
The first thing you need to do is take inventory of all existing content you’ve put out in the world. Create a simple spreadsheet with a URL to every in depth FB Post, blog posts, videos, podcasts, or whatever. You want to keep track of this so you only have to hunt it down once.
It doesn’t matter what it is though. If you created it, put it down in your inventory sheet so you have it on the record and can quickly access it when needed.
Having easy access to this will help you quickly decide which ones are the more important ones to use this method on as well as give you a way to organize your list later when you implement this tactic.
Up next though…
Step Two: The Landing Page
A lot of people will make this harder than it needs to be. They’ll try to add in a bunch of stupid shit and make it fancy with all the bells and whistles.
The people coming to this page already know who you are. They’ve already read the things you’ve put out there. All they care about is how YOU can help them even MORE.
The only thing you need to focus on here is creating a giveaway offer like a
- Free email series
- Quick PDF Report
- Exclusive offer
It doesn’t matter. As long as the product will help explain why you’re the person to follow.
Remember at the beginning when I brought up ATS and the feeder program my partner and I had developed to build our downline?
Our landing page was nothing more than a simple set up that told them about ATS, about ATS Solutions (our feeder) and how joining our team would help make them money while developing the hands on experience they needed to run an online business.
Then, they signed up to our feeder program for only $9. That was it.
It doesn’t have to be complicated, it just has to work. Okay?
Step Three: Inventory Preparation
Once the content is settled in, the landing page is developed, you need to prepare things for your new system to work.
First, take 8-10 articles you’ve written, and compile them into a short PDF report. After you have the new document created, you’ll need to make sure it has:
- A short intro into what they’re about to discover.
- A short “about the author” blurb.
- All articles lead into each other and edited to make an actual “report”.
- A short conclusion to help end things
- Where to learn more about the author.
Do this for as many articles as you have available. Ideally, you should try to generate between 5 – 10 short reports.
Next, you’ll then need to take those articles and using a program like Audiacity, read them out loud into your microphone to create audio files. You’ll want to do one audio, for every article so if you have 10 articles, it will give you 10 audio files.
If you don’t have the time, or just don’t want to put forth the effort, I’m sure some college or high school kids in your area would love to earn a few bucks and there’s always places like Fiverr you can hit up for the services.
Then, you’ll need to create some short slides for each article. Nothing fancy here either, simply use:
- Cover slide
- Who you are
- Author bio and link
These slides should be as descriptive as you can, without taking up to much time.
Then, you’ll need to create some videos, but lucky for you, all the work is done.
Take the slides and sync it up with the audio files and your videos will be ready to go.
Once again (for both formats), you can easily outsource it if you just can’t devote the time to doing it yourself. By now though, you should have:
All over the same piece of content. Which brings us to…
Step Four: The Syndicate
There’s only two laws you need to be aware of throughout the next little bit of content.
- Can you have a link leading back to your landing page?
- Are the places your publishing it at okay with you doing so?
As long as one of these two laws are fulfilled, publish this content wherever you’re able to.
The reason this works so well for what you’re trying to achieve is because it gives the viewer a sense of you being everywhere, because in fact
You Are Everywhere.
This is important for you for two reasons.
- It plants your name into their mind.
- It creates a sense of authority because of how much content you have out there.
And while this shouldn’t be used as a get rich quick tactic, or even push button profits type systems, it works because the people who actually visit your landing page are highly target prospects who are primed and ready to be sold to.
And after providing you with the exact tactic that took us from 0-150 new paying subscribers in a matter of a couple of months, I have a question for you.
If I was to put together a 30 day challenge to help you jump start this process, would this be something you’d join and participate in?
